(LifeSiteNews.com) - Reality TV stars Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have named the child who they recently lost to a miscarriage - Jubilee Shalom.

The Duggars, whose large family is the subject of TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting, recently learned that doctors couldn’t detect a heartbeat for their child during an ultrasound appointment to discover the child’s sex. While Jubilee is widely being reported as the couple’s 20th child, she was actually their 21st child, as People.com reports the couple also lost their second pregnancy to a miscarriage.

People reported Monday that Michelle miscarried naturally at home, but was admitted at a hospital for observation after feeling lightheaded, and was due back home Monday evening.

“We have had many tears today,” says Jim Bob Duggar, 46. “This is life, and I understand that we are going though something that many others have. You think about the what-ifs, but God gives us strength to go on.

“We won’t be able to see this child’s life and the phases that we’ve seen for our other children, but we know we will see this child in heaven one day. We are thankful for each child, and we are blessed to have the children we have here and the ones we will meet someday in heaven.”

A Wednesday service to remember Jubilee will be open to family and friends of the Duggars, who also held a private service on Sunday evening.

The couple’s youngest child, Josie, continues to do well after being delivered prematurely, at only 25 weeks. She turned two years old on Saturday.
