A Depressing Lack of Bad News

Bad news, folks. We’re winning in Iraq.

According to a front page story in The Washington Post, “The U.S. military believes it has dealt devastating and perhaps irreversible blows to al Qaeda in Iraq in recent months, leading some generals to advocate a declaration of victory over the group.

Wait -- isn’t that good news? As Charlie Gibson put it on ABC’s World News Tonight, “One item from Baghdad, today. The news is that there is no news. The police told us that to their knowledge, there were no major acts of violence. Attacks are down in Baghdad, and today, no bombings or roadside explosions were reported.â€

A Depressing Lack of Bad News

How true Zippy. The media just ain't happy they can't point to a single lost battle in this war against the insurgents. All they can do is spin the war as a disaster and give it that sort of appearace, as beating a conservative Chistian and replacing him with a liberal scum made in their own image is more important to them than their nation's security.

Thanks for the article, Bill. :D
You got a dream, you gotta protect it. People can't do something themselves, they wanna tell you that you can't do it. You want something? Go get it. Period.
