April 28, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A Christian pastor has been charged in Vermont with assisting an international kidnapping after allegedly helping former lesbian Lisa Miller escape the country with her daughter Isabella.

Miller and nine-year-old Isabella disappeared in January 2010 after a custody dispute with Miller’s former homosexual partner Janet Jenkins, with whom she had entered a same-sex “marriage” in Vermont.

Amish-Mennonite pastor Timothy David Miller (no relation) of Crossville, Tennessee was charged Monday after the FBI found evidence he had arranged flights for Miller and Isabella to Nicaragua.

He is charged with “aiding in removing a child from the United States ... with intent to obstruct lawful exercise of parental right.”

The FBI discovered e-mails with friends and family in which Pastor Miller discussed the flight, and they also found evidence that the plane tickets were purchased with his mother-in-law’s credit card.

He paid a $25,000 bond and was released into the custody of a friend. He is scheduled to appear in court again May 10.

Miller, who left Jenkins in 2003 and converted to Evangelical Christianity, conceived Isabella through artificial insemination. The girl was never adopted by Jenkins.

Nevertheless a Vermont judge declared that Jenkins was a “parent” to Isabella and required Lisa Miller to allow Jenkins unsupervised visits.

But after Isabella showed signs of emotional trauma following the visits, Miller refused to permit further contact with Jenkins.

Finally, after one of several missed visits, Vermont judge Richard Cohen transferred custody to Jenkins in November of 2009, prompting Miller to flee the country.

In November, the U.S. Supreme Court turned down Miller’s request for an appeal after the Vermont Supreme Court upheld the original court decision.

I pray the child grows up in a loving and stable environment, and that the United States queer justice officials fail in their quest of forcing this child to live with a homosexual that is not even a relative of hers.....
