Prayer request: Edmonton Police want to see Whatcott 5:00 PM

Dear Friends,

The Edmonton Police have asked that I go down to the Edmonton-Strathcona Police Detachment (79 Ave and 103 St) at 5:00 PM tonight. The officer who called me said: "I would like to discuss your little Rachel Notley and abortion flyer with you." Please pray for me. I am supposed to be an apostle at church tonight at 7:00 PM, so I pray I am not detained.

This thread has my last update, a leftist's letter to the editor, and a kind letter I received from a pro-life lady who got my flyer. I have found over the past 10 days or so, the overwhelming majority of people who have either threatened me with violence or have called the police on me are self described "pro-choice." If according to the pro-choice recipients of my flyer, killing unborn children is ok; I am not sure what their problem is with my flyer, as it merely shows what their "choice" looks like. Lets also keep in mind their "choice" is funded with my tax dollars, so I can't see why the Edmonton Police and Elections Alberta would try to prevent me from showing voters what their tax dollars is being spent on. The few calls and e-mails that I have received thanking me for the flyers are nearly 100% pro-life. Interestingly, the pro-life folks recognize my aborted baby image is a tragedy and yet they are the ones who commend me for showing it to the world.

Two supporters joined me and were present during the interview. Half way through the interview, my lawyer Dan Mol showed up.The officer who conducted the interview told me my election flyer and "anti-gay" flyers were "close to crossing the line and becoming illegal." Two possible charges he alluded to were "criminal Mischief and Harassment." My one supporter who accompanied me, is actually a recipient of my latest flyer. She told the officer, I was a "second Martin Luther King." I nearly chuckled out loud. Obviously, I have no mass organization as Martin Luther King had. Nor do I have supporters in the media as Mr. King had, to promote his story. Those who I advocate for (the unborn) can't march in the streets, or commit acts of civil disobedience, as the blacks were able to in the south to fight their oppression. I doubt the cop sees me as a Martin Luther King; more likely he sees me as a Christian fanatic and a politically incorrect pain in the rear, but I thought it was funny having the cop being forced to listen to those types of compliments being offered on my behalf......

The officer then told me he was a Christian and wanted to help me "become more effective." He offered to vet my flyers before I distributed any more, to make sure I would "reach more people" with my message, rather than "turn people off," as he claims I am doing now. The officer told me showing images of the murdered children and homosexually acquired diseases turns people off and is contrary to his interpretation of Christian values. I asked the officer how could he possibly give advice on my anti-homosexual flyers when the Edmonton Police march in the homosexual pride parade every year. I did not seem to get a straight answer on that one. I suppose the officer would give suggestions on my pro-life flyers and clearly he would prefer smiling pictures of newborns and nice positive words affirming life, rather than my inflammatory pronouncements of God's judgement on socialists and pictures of babies murdered by abortion.

The meeting was over after about an hour and I was free to go. I made it to church on time and was able to play the role of an apostle, as the priest washed my feet at the front of the altar. It was kind of profound to think about how Jesus Christ, the very Son of God, humbled Himself to become a servant of men and die on a cross to reconcile sinners to Himself.

"So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. I asked the same question to a 'Christian' cop at a rally I was at. Cops have to take sensitivity courses that indoctrinate them into the 'one size fits all' category. Their intentions are good but, like society today, they think that as long as you don't offend anyone, that as long as you are politically correct; you've got one foot in Heaven. That's not Christ's teaching.

I spent a year In Grant MacEwan's Correctional Service's program, which is on the same floor as the Police and Security program, which turns out many of our police officers. I got to experience first hand the leftist propaganda, packaged as education, that our men, women and transgenders in uniform have to consume...

To be honest, I would like to believe the intentions of the officer was good in offering to vet my flyers (so I could be more effective), however, after years of dealing with these guys and in a few cases having them lie under oath in court and lay false charges on me (Toronto and Calgary police services) in an effort to shut down my protesting, you learn not to trust them.

His talk could very well have been "good cop" psychology, seeing as their "bad cop" approach (arresting me, yelling at me and in a few cases physically roughing me up) hasn't worked in shutting me up.

If the prosecutor gave them the ok, I have no illusion I would be sitting in a jail cell right now. I am suspicious when a government organ wants to "help" me. Especially when the said government is promoting the cause I am speaking out against......
