bong - (noun) A kind of water-pipe used especially for smoking marijuana.

I thought marijuana leaves are dried and rolled in some sort of paper and you smoke it?

Forgive my ignorance!

P.S. Hey, I won't accept bong as "pasalubong"(that rhymes!). I'd rather go with the cabernet :jocolor:

NO!!!

smack dab in the middle of San Francisco, i am looking out the window at the Bay Bridge as i type

I now have been to all the great cities in North America, i gotta say

this city is absolutely stunning!!!!

right up there with Manhatten

i love this place, you turn a corner and you see another landmark, the people here are very cool and nice

and Bill, i have yet to see an overtly gay male couple, however, we were sitting in a bar next to an absolutely gorgous early 20 something lesbian couple, who were having a fine time and did not try an switch us to their brand of sexuality ... oh, well... i will see them in my dreams some night ;-)

tommorow, i am going to see Neil Young at his annual benifit concert with Metallica, John Mayer, Jerry Lee Lewis and about 5 other bands ... and Bruce Springsteen is rumoured to be playing too
woo hooo!!!

i love this place, great food, friendly people and the next time i come here i will bring my beautiful daughter

( no Dave, its not necessary to taser pot smokers, they are too polite and compliant )

I am sure the airfare is significant. What are prices like for accomodation/meals/entertainment once you get there?

Depends on the season, Christmas could be very expensive. I suggest you come here during the summer (Feb. to April) where you can do a lot of activities.

If you're a city person you will enjoy this: (read the reviews)
http://travel.yahoo.com/p-reviews-48772 ... _reviews-i
BTDT, i enjoy the rural life more....no traffic, no pollution, you eat fresh food and everything is cheap.

One of the best beaches in the world where my girls and I visited last summer is Boracay Island:
http://www.agoda.com/asia/philippines/b ... hotel.html
http://www.travelmart.net/philippinesbo ... kages.html

If you're on a tight budget, they also have some bamboo cottages not so far from Panoly, they call the place Stations 1 and 2.

Now, if you really want some exciting and budget-savings holiday treat, I will call my Filipina friend in Halifax where she has a big vacation house here:
http://malarayat.com/
You can play golf or go hunting and scuba diving in Mindoro island (about an hour and a half from our place). They also have some nice beaches there:
http://www.about-scuba-diving.com/count ... /index.htm

I was thinking about the BBQ party you suggested Dave....why not organize a holiday trip to the Philippines instead? You wouldn't worry about the hotel accomodation, my friend could be generous enough to rent her house for free. Food is very cheap here and I can do the cooking for you guys! ;-)

Let's see what the FNAers think :?:

Hmm, old dreams.

Stop tempting me ev8. :-P
You got a dream, you gotta protect it. People can't do something themselves, they wanna tell you that you can't do it. You want something? Go get it. Period.
